Whilst Andrew’s passion for gardens and design began in his youth in country NSW, his formal entrance into the Landscape Design industry commenced in 1999.
After making a change of career he re-started literally at ground level. Working in the field of garden maintenance and construction provided invaluable experience into the vast world of plants and gardening along with hands-on experience with the bricks and mortar of landscape construction.
Four years of night study later and a Diploma of Horticulture and Landscape Design in hand Andrew Pearce Landscape Design was established.
Early in his career Andrew benefitted from working as a Landscape Design contractor to a number of Sydney’s renowned landscape design firms. He gained a broad experience from the varied design styles of these companies and brings this knowledge to his work some 20 years later. The learning is ongoing and he continues to follow social and design cues and learn from professional designers and amateur gardeners alike.
This is the first step towards bringing your garden ideas to life.
Whether it’s just some fresh eyes and direction is all you need to get you on your way or the gathering of ideas to form a concept design brief this face to face on site experience provides great inspiration.
Most clients know what they like but just need experienced guidance to realise their dreams.
Detailed Formal Plans
Sometimes a formal landscape design application is required. Whether it is a requirement for your Development Application or you need detailed documentation to assist trades and garden installation, this stage will have you covered.
Andrew Pearce Landscape Design has broad experience in assessing client’s landscape requirements with local council and statutory authorities and providing compliant design outcomes to satisfy DA and Complying Development needs
The concept stage is the exciting part. This is where the design brief is cultivated into visual possibility. A combination of 2D plans, 3D modelling and garden imagery provides clear insight of what can be achieved. The concept is developed to compliment your existing architecture, lifestyle needs and personal style. Client input is always welcome and ticking off your design goals is our focus.
The concept stage is also the ideal time to begin collaboration with your Architect or building designer. Collaboration in the early stages of the design process will ensure a complimentary design outcome
CAD Drafting & 3D Modelling
AutoCad Drafting – In addition to garden design APLD has assisted builders, landscapers and other trades by providing professional drafted CAD plans. This service allows these clients to present professional drafted plans without the requirement of specialty trained in-house staff or equipment.
3D Modelling – This can be an invaluable inclusion to your concept design stage or as an individual service to assist you visualising proposed works. If you are having trouble visualising 2 dimensional plans this feature can make all the difference.
